The dynamic combo Ajebo Hustlers and Nigerian music phenomenon PsychoYP have collaborated to offer you their most recent smash tune, “Not My Fault.”

After releasing ‘YPSZN3’ in November of last year, the third installment of his critically praised ‘YPSZN’ series, this would mark PsychoYP‘s first official release this year.

With his slick flow and Ajebo Hustlers’ distinctive sound on “Not My Fault,” PsychoYP brings the heat this year. The song was produced by Apex Village’s finest, Thrill Max, Ramoni, and additional production from Trill Xoe.

One of the founders and leaders of the current wave of rap and hip-hop music in Nigeria, 24-year-old cultural star PsychoYP is aptly referred to as the “Fresh Prince of Nigerian rap.”

PsychoYP is one of the rappers defining the Hip Hop industry as a multifaceted artist with a diversified and progressive style that crosses rap, trap, grime, drill, and R&B music.

WHO IS PSYCHOYP: 

Nicholas Ihua-Madueny, better known by his stage name PsychoYP, is a Nigerian alternative hip hop rapper, singer, and composer. He was born on October 28, 1998. He belongs to the musical ensemble Apex Village. With the release of the well praised mixtape YPSZN, which got him a nomination for a SAMA and the Headies for his follow-up mixtape album, YPSZN2, he broke into the music industry. He is referred to as “The Fresh Prince of Nigerian Rap” and is one of the country’s rap music pioneers in the alternative music scene.

YP stands for “Yung Papi” in short.While residing in Manchester, England, he began his musical career as a rapper in 2016 and later released his EP “Lost In The Sauce” on August 26, 2016. The four-track “This Is What You Wanted” EP by YP and Kuddi is Dead was released on May 21, 2017, then on February 21, 2018, a SoundCloud exclusive entitled “This Is What You Wanted II” with Ayüü, Zilla Oaks, and Marv OTM was released.[9] He released “YPSZN” on June 8, 2018, featuring Fasina, Marv OTM, Denzel Oaks, Zilla Oaks, and Remy Baggins as special guests. The project gave rise to the popular song “Oga”.

Afrobeats, Afroswing, Hip Hop, Trap, Grime, Drill, and R&B are among the musical genres that PsychoYP is renowned for fusing His high school classmates started referring to him as “Papi Chulo” and “Yung Papi” . Nicholas subsequently chose “Yung Papi ” as an acronym for YP, before settling on Psycho, to create the stage moniker PsychoYP. He got the idea from a movie he watched. The American rappers Drake, Lil Wayne, and Gucci Mane, as well as the Nigerian rapper M.I, were mentioned by Nicholas “PsychoYP” as being his musical influences or inspirations when he was younger.
