Rape: D’Banj’s endorsement deal with Heritage Bank Allegedly Suspended

Nigerian financial institution, Heritage Bank has allegedly suspended their ambassadorial deal with artiste, D’Banj over some rape charges levelled against him until ‘he clears his name in the rape case.’

The 45 million naira ambassadorial deal was signed and sealed on June 9th which also happened to be the singer’s 40th birthday.

The suspended deal is coming after apetition asking the United Nations, to end the ambassadorial deal with singer D’banj following a rape allegation against him, garnered over 15, 000 signatures.

It would be recalled that a few weeks ago, a Nigerian model scout, Benjamin Ese, had alleged that Dbanj raped his friend, Seyitan Babatayoon December 31, 2018, at a hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The singer reacted first by petitioning the police to investigate the accusation, he then later served the alleged victim a letter, demanding N100 million as damages and an apology or face legal action.
