In what was the first match of Juventus’ post Ronaldo’s era, the Old Ladies suffered a shock defeat at home to Empoli.
It would be recalled that the five time Footballer of the year left the club earlier this week after a three-year spell in which he won two league cups with the club.
While the reason for his departure is not clear, there were speculations that he was no longer wanted in the club.
Reports had it that sending him out of the club will give room for other stars to prove their onus.
But, on Saturday, the old ladies were stunned by an underated Empoli side, with L. Mancuso scoring the only goal of the match.
Following the defeat, pundits and fans are now beginning to question what will be the fate of the Italian giant this season.
