Officers of the Federal Capital Territory Growth Authority (FCDA) have demolished the Gate House, a construction inside the premises of DAAR Communications which houses the African Impartial Tv(AIT) and RayPower FM.
According to an AIT official, the building being demolished is not operational and therefore would not affect the main activities of the television station.
The founder of DAAR Communications, Raymond Dokpesi is currently standing trial for his alleged involvement in the diversion of N2.1 billion security funds by Sambo Dasuki, former National Security Adviser (NSA).
Dokpesi was detained at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport in Abuja when he returned from a trip to Dubai last month by officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) but was later released.
It is gathered that some altercations transpired between the officials of the NIS and Dokpesi during a question and answer session upon his arrest.
