Labelling, Container and Content

A bottle of Heineken was in front of where I was seated. Driping with droplets of ice, the weather was hot and dry. Though I wasn’t the drinking type, the urge to take a sip was overwhelming but not temptous enough to gulp.

Within a split second, the content was emptied in a glass cup. It bubbled it sparkled, it fummed, forming dews around the glass cup. As I watched him gulped down, I could see the joy, excitement and satisfaction of a man saved from the dryness of dehydration.

The content was gone, the label and the container still intact. Before me was still a green bottle with same Heineken label, the difference was the bottle, that was empty.

Beside me, in same environment, same scenario was still a bottle of big Golden Stout. Ice cold, dripping too with “sweat of coldness” within a twinkle, the content was gone, just empty bottle standing.

watching these two scenarios played out, one thought kept coming to my mind. What defines what Stout or Heineken is?

The content? The label or the shape of the container? Refill the empty bottles with another liquid content, would it still be Heineken or stout? Since the labels and the containers are still same? What really defines a thing? Label, container or content?

What gives value ? Label, container or content? What makes people get high and overly happy? Content, Label or container?

The name Heineken isn’t , the name stout isn’t it too, the shapes of the two bottles are not .

The content will still be the content in a different label and container, afterall a rose flower smells as nicely as ever even with another name.

A malt content would still be mild and non aphrodisiac even a in Heineken container and label? If one can easily relate with this, then, labelling or profiling of people wouldn’t say much about them, their contents do.

Ones status and reputation are not who one is. Fame, money and position are not who one is. They are skin deep and add nothing to the very essence of one. They are just labels and containers, meant for external “non beneficial effects”.

Character is the content, the main “malt, Heineken and stout”. Adulterate the content, labels and containers have no value to provide.

Once ones character is dented, the status which is the container and the reputation the label are of no value and significant

Pour a bottle of “Heineken” into a plastic kettle, the content remains same, active, additictive, aphrodisiac etc. Always go for the content and ensure it is not tampered with. The label and container can, but not the contents.

Relate with people based on their content not on their label and container, these duo cannot add value.

Deal and relate with people based on their label and container, not too long one would be miffed and overly disappointed.

Stick to the content. Get used to the taste, not even the colour, the colour can change. Get the taste of each of the content one desires, even when adulteration happens, one without being hurt and poisoned would by mere tip of tongue tasting gets the signals and moves out of harms way.

However artistically flavoured ones labels and containers are, if the content is bad and unappealing, no marketing strategy would be able to make a sale of it .

Our humaness isn’t the main thing. Our body isn’t who we are, the content, the very definition of who we are ,are deposited inside, look for it, maintain the taste, guard it from adulteration and one would be at all times cherished and priced like rubbies of an inestimable worth.
