The reports that the United States (US) Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has linked head head of IGP Intelligence Response Team, DCP Abba Kyari, to international fraudster, Abbas Ramon, popularly known as Hushpuppi have gotten tongues wagging across the nation.
According to reports, Hushpuppi accused the head of Nigeria’s intelligence response unit of collecting bribes from him. In a swift reaction, Kyari denied the accusation, noting that Hushpuppi sent the money to his native wears tailor to make clothes for him.
Reacting to the development, Reno Omokri, in a post on Facebook, wrote:
“For your native wears and other fashion, super cop Abba Kyari is your man!
“Kyari is a tailor that caters to the high and mighty in the world of crime.
“Do you know a fraudster or a notorious yahoo boy? What are you waiting for? Give him Kyari’s number without further ado!
“Kyari the fashionista will even arrange delivery to your place of crime anywhere in the world.”
Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba has ordered an internal review of the allegations.
A statement by Force PRO, Frank Mba said “The Nigeria Police Force reaffirms its commitment to the pursuit of justice and the strengthening of its professional relationship with the FBI and other international partners.
“Further developments on this case will be communicated to members of the public accordingly.”
