The Delta State Governor, Sen Ifeanyi Okowa has directed the closure of all private and public schools in the state until Monday, November 2, 2020.
He also Imposed a 48hour curfew starting 6 pm today 22nd, October 2020, with the exemption of essential services.
The Governor commended the youths for rising and organizing themselves “in an impressive manner to express their views”.
He appealed to the youths to remain calm and give peace a chance “because the Government is sure on their side”.
It should be noted that this directive is coming after the #EndSARS protest turned violent in the State.

Our motto is: ‘We stand for the truth, irrespective of who tells it’. Driven by this philosophy, our aim has been to create a platform where every voice, every narrative – provided they are decently expressed –  is allowed expression. Our belief is that by promoting unfettered competition of ideas, the truth will eventually emerge. Obviously, doing this while resisting any temptation to be captured by any special interest or tendency makes survival as an online newspaper more challenging. This is why we will appreciate any support from our readers:
