The Police in Bauchi State has arrested a serial motorcycle snatcher, Makama Musa, a dismissed Police Sergeant, aged 34 years from Gombe state.
In a press statement by the State Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakili, which was made available to newsmen in Bauchi, the Police team attached to Yelwa Police station arrested the dismissed sergeant who was wearing a police uniform along Dass road, following series of complaints by residents of the area.
“The suspect confessed to the crime and the following exhibits recovered from him, including a Neon blue shirt and black trouser, Device rank of sergeant and Police badge, a Boxer motorcycle with number plate DBM-319-UR, Bauchi.
“The Commissioner of Police has directed that the case should be transferred to SCID for discreet investigation after which the suspect would be charged to court for prosecution and possible conviction. Meanwhile, the police assure members of the public that the Command is committed to the fight against Crime and Criminality in the State and will appreciate every useful information that will assist in apprehension and prosecution of offenders,” the statement read.
