Consistency: Hit The Ground Running

Procrastination is as destructive as laziness. Often, humans are fond of procrastinating when they feel sluggish to carry out a task. As opposed to procrastination, consistency is an act that allows humans to hit the ground running. “Hit the ground running” is an idiom which means to do something immediately and start doing it on a fast pace. Consistency is an act that requires discipline in order to act regularly. Consistency is a virtue that ought to be revived in all humans in order to excel in their endeavour.
Is it difficult to be consistent? Yes. Why? In times when invention of various kinds of mobile phones, use of the internet such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok, amongst others, and most importantly creation of AI(Artificial intelligence) are rampant, it is almost difficult for humans to be consistent in whatever they do. This is because they become lazy, and waste valuable time on irrelevant social media activities.
The creation of Artificial intelligence is a major problem that has affected the virtue of consistency in humans. AI has taken control of almost all human activities, therefore most people rely on AI to get their works done. Surprisingly, there are writers who use AI to write academic journals; also, some techpreneurs allow AI do everything that should be done by them. The probable effect of this actions is that humans become indolent to perform tasks which should be done by humans.
Definitely, there is a solution to this problem. Humans need to hit the ground running. Simply put, humans need to start carrying out relevant tasks themselves, stop procrastinating and stop delegating important activities to some machines.
Jobs incentives should be increased to motivate humans especially for lazy people. Indeed, there are some indolent people who prefer to do nothing; however, most of the excuses given is that there is no appropriate payment of services rendered. Hence, public and private sectors should increase salary and allowance of workers. For instance, it is quite obvious that some university lecturers are not consistent in their lectures because they have other businesses aside lecturing. These lecturers often complain that their salaries are not enough to rely on as the pay is not encouraging.
To the youth who are obsessed with irrelevant activities on social media, seminars and symposiums that are meant to expose them to the benefits of being consistent should be organized both physically and online.
Every human should be consistent in his/her doings and hit the ground running. Consistency is the ship to voyage to success.
