Bus passengers all burnt to death in Anambra road mishap

All passengers on board an Onitsha- bound 15-seater bus from Owerri, were on Sunday burnt to death in a lone accident around Amorka axis of the Owerri-Onitsha expressway.
The fatal road traffic crash allegedly happened this evening, when the bus tyre burst as a result of excessive speeding, causing the vehicle to somersault.
The vehicle eventually burst into flames, burning all the passengers trapped inside beyond recognition.
It was gathered that before men of the  Anambra State fire service could arrive, the passengers have been burnt to death.
The Acting Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kamal Musa said a male adult who managed to jump out of the burning vehicle later died.
“The corpse of the only male adult who jumped out of the vehicle in the process has been deposited at Mogue in our lady of Lourdes Ihiala,” he said.
Musa further said the total number of casualties were yet to be determined as at the time of filing this report.
