It would be recalled that APC held successful and violence-free statewide ward congresses in the 260 political wards within Enugu State.

Ngwu revealed that reports from various wards monitored in the state, showed that each ward adopted an internally-harmonised ward executive, local and state congress delegates list.

According to him, APC is showing the light to other political parties on how congresses should be done and the people are happy with the outcome without any dissenting voice.

“Most of the leaders and members of wards within the our council and entire were able to come to agree on a harmonised list made up of serious party faithful that can deliver the needed winning votes during elections.

“It was done rancour-free and what you is positive internal democracy and people-oriented party leadership in action,” he said.

“With the unity of purpose the party faithful achieved in the ward congresses, we are ready to take over the state politically’’.

“The newly elected APC executive of the various wards in the council area should build on this unity and mobilise the entire state for APC come 2023 General Elections and other elections,” he said.

Other 24 elective positions, which included four ex-officios, followed suit with a unanimous and unopposed voice vote of YES as well.

Speaking, Eneh thanked the party faithful for turning out en masse, conducting themselves in a peaceful and rancor-free manner that led to the success of the congress in the ward.

He said, “I am assure you all that the newly elected executives will work hard to ensure dominance of the party at all political elections in all polling booths in the ward.

“We are going to set-up polling booth committees, as our leader Ngwu had advised, to ensure that APC wins in each polling booth in the ward henceforth. No stone will be left unturned in achieving this.”
