Anambra will no longer suffer neglect at the Federal level- FCC rep assures

The Commissioner representing Anambra in the Federal Character Commission, (FCC) Reverend Uche Ibeabuchi says under his watch, Anambra  State will henceforth get its fair share in the scheme of things at the National scale.
Ibeabuchi disclosed this on Thursday when he paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary to State Government, Governor, Solo Chukwulobelu at the State Government House in Awka.
The visit was part of efforts by the newly appointed Anambra representative in FCC, to seek a closer working relationship with the State Government for easy interaction and coordination.
The FCC Commissioner informed the SSG of his readiness and zeal to uphold the mandate of the Commission which is to make sure that there is fairness and equity in the distribution of public posts and socio-economic infrastructures round the country according to the provisions of Sections 14 and 153 of the 1999 Constitution as amended.
According to him, “my leadership will demonstrate the required sincerity of purpose in ensuring justice, equity and fair play in the FCC especially as regards dealing with Anambra State. Going forward and as the Good Lord helps,  Anambra State will not suffer any form of neglect”.
Ibeabuchi used the opportunity to commend President Muhammadu Buhari for his laudable projects he has done and is still doing in Anambra State and South East in general, while appealing to him to do more for the people of the State.
In his remarks, the SSG, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu while receiving the Commissioner, reiterated Governor Willie Obiano’s administration commitment to fairness and justice to all in the spirit of democracy, and as the federal character enshrines, adding that democracy is meaningless where the interest of the majority is sacrificed.
He assured him of the support of the state government to enable him to succeed in his new assignment.
In his words, “I am most pleased to meet you today. So far, you have proven to be a man of immense integrity, industrious and highly meticulous. With you as our eye in Abuja, we are confident that Anambra State will get its fair share in the scheme of things”.
