Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State says he will contest and win any type of governorship primaries the All Progressives Congress (APC) might adopt.
He made this know in a news briefing on Tuesday after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari where he also declared that he has the backing of the president to seek re-election through the APC platform.
His meeting with President Buhari is coming weeks after the Edo governor, Godwin Obaseki, had a similar meeting with the president, after which he also said he secured the president’s support for his second term bid.
Obaseki has since been disqualified by the APC and announced his resignation from the party on Tuesday.
